Shane Wiese was born and raised in San Diego, California. He specializes in underwater and landscape photography. It was on a trip to Hawaii that he first walked into a Peter Lik Gallery, and began realizing his own passion for photography. Shane was so inspired by Peter Liks photos that he bought a camera and taught himself how to take incredible pictures. A few years later Shane became a certified diver. He was fascinated by how beautiful the world is under the surface, and wanted to capture it's beauty for everyone to see. Over the past ten years he has been traveling around the world capturing breathtaking photographs both under the surface and above. Through his photographs he hopes people will see the incredible beauty of our planet and come to love the ocean and the creatures in it as much as he does.
